| iBT - internet Based Test got introduced in 2005 and has replaced (CBT) & (PBT) paper based test. The test includes 4 sections, each measuring basic language skills, focusing on language used in and academic, higher education environment. |

The Areas where iBT and CBT is not available PBT is given. The PBT Score ranges between 310 and 677. Listening (31-68), Structure (31-68) and reading (31-67) unlike CBT. The score of the writing section. (referred to as the test of written english TWE) is not a part of the final score, instead, it is reported seprating on a scale of 1 to 6

| People who do not need to give TOEFL Test |
|
|
| |
- Non native speakers who hold degrees or diplomas from post secondary institutions in english speaking country (eg. USA, Canada, England, Australia)
- Non native speakers who have successfully completed academic work at schools where english was the language of instruction.
- Non native students who have completed at least two year course of study in which english was the language of instruction.
- Transfer students from institutions in US and Canada.
